Clear Aligners

What are Clear Aligners?

Clear aligners, also known as invisible aligners, are used to rectify misaligned teeth. They are a practically invisible and removable substitute for braces, developed around ease and flexibility. This process can only be done by digital dental labs.

Why would you need Clear Aligners?

Clear aligners can fix the following teeth alignment issues:

  • Crowded teeth (overlying teeth)

  • Overbites (upper front teeth overlapping with the lower front teeth)

  • Underbites (lower front teeth overlapping with the upper front teeth)

  • Diastema (small or big voids between the teeth)

  • Open bites (front upper and lower teeth incline outward and do not touch when the mouth is shut; a rare form of malocclusion)

  • Misaligned primary (baby) teeth (phase I orthodontic treatment; children between 6 and 10 years of age are applicants for this treatment)

Generally, clear aligners are a great choice to straighten the teeth which can also improve your dental health. Clear aligners work by slowly but surely moving the teeth into the desired position, restoring a great smile. But having straight teeth is significant for dental health too. When the teeth are not properly fit together, some oral health concerns may arise, as stated by the American Association of Orthodontists.

When it's not ideal to use clear Aligners

  • The patient doesn't have the discipline to maintain the regimen.

  • Class 3 malocclusion
